Mr. Toups has over 28 years of experience in hands on management of employer benefits, self-funding, business risk financing, insurance and pooled risk arrangements, and business financial issues. Toups Consulting is associated with experienced consultants, professionals, and experts throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, and overseas.
Mr. Toups currently is an active member of the Louisiana CPA Society - just completing a three-year Chairmanship of the Society's insurance trust, which handles the health, life, LTD, and professional liability insurance needs of members. The medical plan is endorsed by the CPA Societies of four states. He has served on this committee for over 15 years. He has also served as chairman of the CPA Society's Industry Members Committee - representing approximately 50 % of the CPAs in the State of La. He is currently a member of the Society's Technology Committee. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and he holds a bachelors degree from Nicholls State University. Mr. Toups has chaired and/or served on numerous state, regional, and national boards for his profession and as a result of his non-profit organizations' affiliations. He has also spoken nationally and internationally on a variety of topics. He is also affiliated with BWW International, which is an international business and educational development organization located in Raleigh, North Carolina. He has owned and operated his own CPA practice since 1981 and has also owned other business ventures including starting a private franchising company in 1989, which now operate throughout North America and several foreign countries. He recently retired as Business Manager for the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux after 26 years of service.
